Teaching in the Single iPad Classroom

Workshop Description: Participants will explore ways to use a single iPad in a whole class setting, a small group setting, and/or as a center. Discussions will include workflow practices in these configurations. We will also explore how to effectively select appropriate apps to support instruction.
Outcome: Participants will increase skills in the use and integration of technology in classroom instruction.
Indicator: Participants will explore iPad uses and identify how they can be used to present information and content in different ways, differentiate the ways students can express what they know, and stimulate interest and motivation to learn.
Prerequisite Skills: Basic computing skills: file management and word processing as well as iPad for Teachers 101 or equivalent experience.

- Discuss how an iPad can be used with a whole class
- Discuss how an iPad can be used as a center, with a small group, or for differentiation of selected students
